    Who You Are
    TSC is seeking a first rate qualified Tooling Supervisor with experience. This role is for a hands-on person with great versatility with regard to building and repairing composite molds/tooling. The main priority for this role will be to execute the inspection and repair of existing composite molds/tooling as well as fabricate new composite molds and masters as required to support the production schedule. The Supervisor in this position will support the production tooling and equipment design and installation in order to create an efficient and organized Tooling Department. The Tooling Department Supervisor will work closely with production personnel and Manufacturing Engineers to maintain composite tooling and contribute to process improvement using lean processes and tools

    Your Mission

    • Hands-on tooling assembly
    • Large structure handling, including driving a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, etc.; operating a crane or hoist; installing concrete mounting points in floor; accurately locating large or heavy structure to within .005” accuracy
    • Experience repairing, infusing, and refurbishing composite molds
    • Utilizing CAD or 3D software for inspection, including one or more of the following): PC Demus, Verisurf, Geomagic, Polyworks, Spacial Analyser, or similar
    • Metrology, including working with laser trackers or similar positioning systems
    • Set priorities for repairs of all production composite molding
    • Training of all tooling technicians
    • Use a wide variety of precision instruments for exacting measurements while working from complicated drawings and specifications
    • Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensional accuracy
    • Ensure tool room work area remains clean and orderly
    • Guide and ensure all tool room employees follow proper safety procedures
    • Support the documentation for tool charges
    • Participate in “Continuous Improvement Process"
    • Plan and repair maintenance of the composite molds
    • Report issues daily to the Production Manager

    What you bring

    • Previous leadership experience required
    • Experience with large aircraft assembly and inspection a plus
    • Be able to handle pressure, interruptions and meet deadlines
    • Must be able to work flexible working hours
    • Strong interpersonal and team skills
    • Fabricate parts using machine tools and hands-on skills
    • Metal shop skills (i.e., welding, grinding, machining, etc.) a plus
    • Use gages to determine dimensional requirements
    • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills
    • Excellent computer skills (CAD and/or 3D software packages), as well as standard Microsoft products
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
