    Who You Are

    As the Composites Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing floor in our composite parts fabrication area. In addition, you will become the point of contact for all issues regarding laser ply projection and automated ply cutting. You will be responsible for creating composite ply manufacturing files with Catia V5. You will work independently on multiple projects with a strong ability to effectively prioritize and produce results within set timelines.

    Your Mission

    • Review composite ply definition in Catia V5 for completeness and producibility
    • Efficiently create composite ply manufacturing files using Catia V5 and Majestic
    • Provide technical support to manufacturing floor during composite part fabrication
    • Troubleshoot laser projection issues
    • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent of 3+ years of role related experience
    • Experience with composite parts fabrication
    • Solid understanding of laser ply projection, preferably Virtek
      Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Exceptional interpersonal and coaching skills
    • Highly skilled CAD user, Catia V5 preferred with CPD and CPM
      Natural talent for problem solving
    • Familiarity with Microsoft office products
    • Experience with ERP and MES systems
    • Knowledge of PLM systems
    • Previous involvement with root cause analysis and corrective action
    • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends when needed
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
    • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
    • Physically able to handle items weighing up to 40lbs (unassisted).
