    Who you are

    TSC is seeking first rate qualified composites shop technician to work on composite aircraft production.  This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail and excellent people skills.  The first task of this role will be to quickly learn and understand the unique bonding and assembly processes used in the production of these aircraft.  The technician in this position will work from engineering drawings and detailed work instructions to fabricate top quality aircraft and spaceships components.  Entry level through experienced needed.

    Your Mission

    • Effectively communicate and serve as a liaison between production and production support.
    • You will partner with shop leads and supervisors to exchange up to date information regarding priority, schedule changes, any unexpected issues that may set the schedule back or any other relevant information.
    • Oven scheduling. 
    • Develop a shift to shift schedule for curing parts based on priority/oven availability ect.
    • Advising/assisting team members. 
    • Answering any technical questions or making decisions that the technician may be unsure of.
    • Oven programming & configuration.
    • Writing/editing oven recipes, changing software configuration, oven set up.
    • Laser projection set up and troubleshooting. Setting up tools, selecting correct files, making necessary programming changes, shooting in the targets, confirming accurate projection.
    • Training team members. 
    • Developing training materials, conducting training sessions, keeping track of who has been trained on what skill, team brainstorming meetings.
    • Developing process & career pathing in collaboration with management. 
    • Defining a work flow process for incoming jobs for the oven, agreed upon by all to maximize efficiency and prevent confusion or things being missed, developing a clear career path for technicians to move forward in their careers as an incentive to be a part of this team!

    What you bring

    • Minimum 1 year oven operation experience or relevant industrial machinery operation experience.
    • Demonstrates the ability to perform in depth computer tasks ex: working knowledge of excel, word, outlook, power point, knowing your way around a computer.
    • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn how to perform new tasks, use new hardware/software
    • Demonstrates working knowledge of basic software programming skills/ oven recipe writing per process specifications.
    • Demonstrates ability to plan and schedule complex tasks and quickly adapt and respond to changing situations.
    • Act as a model of personal integrity, high productivity while developing consistently safe working habits for your team.
    • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus.
    • Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting, composites aircraft fabrication or assembly strongly preferred.
