    Who You Are

    TSC is seeking a qualified Material Expeditor to compile all required parts and materials needed for assembly work packages, issue those materials out of inventory, and deliver them to the shop floor.  Compiling assembly materials will also require expediting existing open purchase orders, follow up on past due orders, track orders en-route and provide notification of expected arrival, by working closely with the Production/Manufacturing department to ensure all requests are delivered by the date required.



    Your Mission

    • Respond to urgent material requests from Production and Manufacturing business units by troubleshooting material shortages.
    • Able to manage multiple urgent requests simultaneously with high degrees of variation and uncertainty and prioritize tasks based on demand 
    • Compile kits working from assembly bill of materials (BOMs) and deliver to the production team. 
    • Arranges transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
    • Works with department supervisors and production control personnel to determine overdue material and parts and informs supervisors of material status.
    • Works with the Materials Team to locate and distribute materials to specified production areas including the movement to outside processing
    • Confirms inbound critical parts are tracked on the “Hotlist”
    • Examines material destined for the production floor, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
    • Communicates with TSC Logistics to determine arrival times for shipments and to resolve shipping and receiving problems
    • Provides information on a daily basis to the Material Planning Department concerning any and all parts, where inventory or other problems exist.
    • Performs other related Material Expeditor duties as required

    What you bring

    • Minimum 2-3+ years’ experience in an expediting/Material Handling role strongly desired; preferably in an Aerospace/Aviation manufacturing environment. 
    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
    • Previous experience with Oracle and Agile or other ERP experience.
    • Must demonstrate proficiency in use of Excel (intermediate level).
    • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills
    • Strong Internal Customer Service skills 
    • Very Organized and an eye for details
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Power Point
