Who You Are

TSC is seeking a talented and motivated Avionics Mechanical Designer to join our Avionics team. The scope of the avionics engineering team includes: flight avionics hardware, aircraft electrical systems, wire harnesses, and ground-support electronics hardware. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working hands-on with avionics mechanical enclosures, aircraft wiring harness and electrical/mechanical installations. We are looking for a generalist who will contribute to several roles in a fast paced environment.



Your Mission

  • Develop engineering drawings for parts, assemblies, and installations in Catia V5
  • Develop assembly fixtures & drill jigs
  • Check drawings for manufacturability & design standards
  • Create Manufacturing Work Instructions
  • Provide production support during product build by working with with Production Control and Manufacturing
  • Design & manufacture of machined parts, composites, & electrical assemblies

What you bring

  • B.S. Engineering degree from an accredited university preferred
  • 5 or more years of relevant aircraft mechanical design & manufacturing experience
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Experience with aircraft installations
  • Experience with electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics
  • Experience with aircraft wiring harness design and manufacturing
  • Experience with aircraft wire harness routing in CAD
