Who You Are

As a key member of TSC’s IT department, the IT Systems Administrator will work in close coordination with the Director of Information Technology and the IT team to ensure high levels of service to all users. This position will be responsible for all activities associated with maintaining the computing environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring and improving system performance.

 

 

Your Mission

  • With direction from the IT Infrastructure Manager helps establish and improve the IT infrastructure environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and maintaining system standards.Oversees Windows server hardware installation, maintenance, problem resolution, failure recovery, performance tuning, configuration and optimization issues.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems as directed by IT Manager.
  • Maximizes network effectiveness by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with Network Engineer on network optimization.
  • Supports enterprise operations efforts to maintain servers, routers, and switches.
  • Create and maintain documentation for the IT Infrastructure Team.

What you bring

 

 

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • BS Degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of previous Systems Admin experience within a corporate environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of appropriate experience in a primarily Windows virtualized environment, using Hyper-V Hypervisor.
  • Experience writing and using scripts (PowerShell, Python, VBScript, batch scripts, etc.) for managing workstations/servers or basic development experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of PC hardware, phone systems, local area networks, active directory, VPN client applications, mail systems, backup systems and antivirus systems is required.
  • Ability to independently research and educate self on new hardware and software applications.
  • Create a high level of user satisfaction through accurate and timely follow-up & strong technical skills.
  • AD/GPO/LDAP/SSO
  • Linux experience a plus.

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
