Who You Are

TSC is seeking a first rate Quality Assurance Manager to maintain and supervise TSC’s Product Quality processes and lead our Quality organization. The Quality Assurance Manager will need to rely on extensive quality assurance experience and expertise gained from an aerospace quality environment to ensure company standards for excellence are met as TSC builds the first spaceline fleet.

Your Mission

  • Oversee and improve TSC’s  relevant processes and procedures that would be necessary to ensure compliance with AS9100.
  • Provide tactical and strategic guidance to our  Quality Supervisors.
  • Act as the quality custodian for TSC’s products’ architecture and configuration.
  • Work with the Director of Vehicle Production to ensure quality is built into the manufacturing processes as much as possible.
  • Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager with vehicle manufacturing documentation and work packages by incorporating the requirements of the QMS.
  • Ensure TSC’s customer quality requirements are clearly understood, documented and incorporated into the production plans.
  • Create a training program for the Supervisors, Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
  • Positively interact with engineering and production to drive quality initiatives and best practices.

What you bring

  • Proven experience in airframe fabrication, assembly and integration environment.
  • In-depth understanding of the testing, inspection, quality issues and certification of aircraft, including all systems and particularly those with composite aero structures.
  • In-depth understanding of the requirements of the AS9100 framework.
  • Prior experience establishing and/or maintaining a QMS in a fabrication and assembly environment.
  • Experience with setting up or assisting in the set up of an aircraft production operation is highly desirable.
  • Broad management experience/skills base in areas such as resource planning, proposal writing, technical project management, risk management and business development is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills complemented by strategic thinking and a strong commercial acumen.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and build teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or similarly relevant field.
  • Quality certification desirable, such as CQM, CQE, or related/

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
