Who You Are

The Spaceship Company (TSC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing systems technician with an emphasis in tube bending and manufacturing. The person in this role will prioritize work scope driven by need dates to support test, sub-assemblies and assemblies across multiple programs within the organization.  Equipment recommendations and process development are key.  This person shall be capable to mentor others in tube manufacturing to increase overall capacity relative to tube manufacturing.



Your Mission

  • Support manufacturing and production planning departments to achieve overall company goals.
  • Identify root cause, and implement corrective and or preventive action to reduce scrap and rework
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work scope accordingly.
  • Develop and recommend methods that systematically reduce costs through equipment and processes improvements

What you bring

  • Knowledgeable in hands on tube manufacturing including but not limited too;
    • Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Brass, Copper and Titanium
    • Flexible tube fabrication
    • Tube sizes varying in wall thickness and diameter
    • Double and Single Flaring, Beading
    • Mock-up line fabrication
    • Trimming and de-burring
    • Cleaning and pressure testing, both proof and burst
  • Familiar with MS and AN fittings and the application of
  • Manual and automated tube bending including X,Y,Z tables
  • Strong knowledge of tube bending/tube manufacturing processes and specifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate and work across multiple departments and disciplines in order to achieve results
  • Strong multitask capability in a team environment
  • 10 years experience preferred


ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
