Who You Are

TSC is seeking a first rate, experienced Tool Crib Attendant with outstanding customer service standards and a positive can-do attitude to play a key role in our organization. You will assist in maintaining an efficient production environment by promptly supplying team members with proper tools, equipment and supplies necessary to establish and operate the world’s first commercial manned spacecraft production company. Ideal candidates should have a work history that demonstrates their ability to successfully work in an environment that requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, have excellent computer skills, have good customer service skills, and have prior experience in a fast- paced manufacturing environment.



Your Mission

The Tool Crib Attendants will work alongside the Manufacturing and Assembly Teams and complete the following duties:


  • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Create lost/broken tool reports that provide supervisors and quality information about the lost/broken tool.
  • Ensure proper preventative maintenance and repairs, cleans and rebuilds tools, replacing components that frequently wear out.
  • Perform tool box audits to ensure technicians are properly checking out the tools.
  • Perform tool crib inventory cycle counts in order to ensure Tooling inventory accuracy.
  • Collects tools due for calibration weekly and places out tags in toolboxes.
  • Manually prepares inventory data for inclusion in calibration supplier’s database.
  • Provides facts and recommendations on what tools should be repaired or replaced and provides justification to Supervisor.
  • Notify Lead or Supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity.
  • Maintain a high awareness of personal safety at all times in a neat and orderly working environment.
  • Ensure compliance of Federal (OSHA), State, and Local safety laws.
  • Candidate’s duties will also include processing internal material movements and replenishments along with other functions that support the Materials and Logistics Teams.

What you bring

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with inventory tool control, materials management, or related inventory Management function in a high paced production or maintenance environment.
  • Understanding of inventory management techniques.
  • Familiar with equipment, materials, methods used in the production of Carbon Fiber vehicles.


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Strong general knowledge of hand tools and their functions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines and the ability to be flexible.


Physical and/or Additional Requirements


  • Good written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience in high technology, advanced materials or aerospace industries preferred
  • Strong experience with material movement and computerized inventory management (Oracle preferred)
  • Required to stand for extended amounts of time.
  • Physically able to safely and efficiently handle and move items weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Able to operate a manual pallet jack and move loaded skids weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Able to operate a lift truck is a plus, but not a requirement - training will be provided
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Familiar with use of e-mail, including sending attachments
  • Knowledge of EAR and ITAR requirements for international shipments is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to successfully keep multiple tasks running simultaneously
  • Works well with people, both internally and externally, and at all levels of the organization
  • Able to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively via the phone, email, etc.
  • Holds and able to maintain a valid California driver’s license
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn new things
  • Able to provide constructive feedback and creative solutions to problems


ITAR Requirements

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
