Who You Are

TSC is seeking a first rate Senior Test Technician to assist the engineering team to prepare composite materials and testing equipment for a variety of tests of mechanical and performance capabilities. The successful individual will bring substantial knowledge of laboratory testing processes, methods, set-up and equipment. This position will interact with a variety of engineering and manufacturing staff at a variety of levels, and will ensure the highest accuracy of our testing processes possible.

Your Mission

  • Install test article instrumentation
  • Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies and test equipment wire harnesses.
  • Set up, calibrate, and fabricate test components and carry out laboratory, assembly and vehicle testing.
  • Collect test data and report results to designated managers and engineers.
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of special test fixtures and test setups.
  • Operation of test equipment/software. (Labview, Control Systems, environmental chambers, vibration tables, and altitude chambers)
  • Knowledge of shop floor quality testing techniques and inspection preferred. (Visual, Tap, IR, Etc)


What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in a testing, aerospace, manufacturing, or a similar highly controlled environment.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Schematics, engineering drawings, circuit layouts and parts lists
    • Cable harnesses: Wire diagrams, layout drawings, and parts lists
    • Mechanical assemblies: Mechanical drawings and parts lists
    • Instrumentation: strain gages, extensometers, load cells, and pressure transducers.
    • Performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices.
  • Computer software proficiency, preferably including laboratory or industrial applications, and technical writing skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and able to maintain good will in a potentially adversarial role.
  • Requires understanding of electronics, test equipment, mechanical test methods and electro mechanical testing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)

Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to handle items weighing up to 40lbs (unassisted)
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods- 8 hours min.
